The Core Values of Conqueror Weightlifting are Effort, Attitude, Trust and Respect.
Each month, we recognize one of our athletes who excels in consistently demonstrating these Core Values. Our October 2024 Athlete of Month is Ella Japp.
Ella is a high school wrestler who came us with a goal of getting stronger for improved performance in wrestling. After 8 months of diligent training, Ella is shaping up to have a great season on the mat.
When it comes to coachability, Ella is second to none in our program. She carefully listens when being taught new skills and always gives her very best effort in mastering the movements and skills she learns. This admirable quality has allowed her to improve by leaps and bounds since starting.
Ella is also one hardest working athletes in our program. She meticulously follows every detail of the training program and completes every set and rep to the very best of her ability. There is never a time you need to worry about Ella giving you outstanding effort.
Her superior attitude and work ethic has led to some impressive feats of strength. Most noteworthy is Ella’s recent accomplishment of becoming the first female athlete in our gym to complete a Weighted Chin-Up.

For most individuals, performing a Chin-Up with just bodyweight is a significant accomplishment. The ability to perform this exercise with added weight puts an individual into an elite league of their own.
Ella has earned every bit of the success she has achieved so far in our program and we congratulate her on being selected as our Athlete of the Month.
